Oscar has lived and worked in Port Elizabeth, Johannesburg and Cape Town, giving him good exposure and a diverse design perspective with a distinctive South African touch. Oscar qualified with a diploma in Interior Design from Port Elizabeth College in 2007. 

After his studies he worked for Lee Interiors where he learned not only to design furniture pieces but also had the opportunity to be involved with the physical manufacturing of the furniture. This gave him a detailed understanding of the furniture construction process and various design implications. 

Thereafter he joined Candido Interior Design, where he worked closely with the owner on various projects including Beach houses, Restaurants, Hotels and Office spaces. There he got the experience on production, supplier sourcing and selection and site management of projects. Building on the wealth of experience he has gained, 

Oscar decided to merge his unique design flair and entrepreneurship abilities to start his own design company in 2010, namely Oscar Designs.
